Name?Peter Trapp
How long has he been at this job?Peter has been in the securities business since 1973 and portfolio manager of this fund since Jan. 1996.
How has the fund performed?Year-to-date through Feb. 14, 2001, the fund was up 17.5 percent. In 2000, its total return was up 7. 4 percent; in 1999, 79.7 percent; and in 1998, ahead 19.9 percent.
Anything interesting about him?Plenty. Peter is a avid sportsman who hikes, hunts, fishes and likes challenges. And, he is particularly found of salt water fly fishing. Why? "Because I think the fish you catch are bigger fighters," he says. The biggest salt water fish he has ever caught on a fly was a Tarpon and that was while fishing in the backwaters of Key West. It took him three hours to land.
