| Name? | Chuck Tennes | | How long has he been at this job? | Chuck has been in the securities business
since 1982 and is now a vice president and part of the management team on
various funds at Rydex. | | How has the fund performed? | All four of the bear market funds mentioned
above were up dramatically thru March 29. The Venture 100 Fund lead the way,
up over 72 percent; Arktos was up 41 percent; Tempest 500, ahead almost 32
percent; and the Ursa Fund, up over 17 percent. But, these are volatile funds
and will switch performance direction as the markets do. A look at their perf
ormance charts shows that better than words could ever express. | | Anything interesting about him? | For sure. Chuck has traveled to 44
countries, was a Russian language major in college and lived in Moscow in
1995. "Moscow is one of the world's great cities, like New York, Tokyo and
London," he says. "Living there you get the legacy of the communist era,
then a 1000-year old civilization with onion-domed churches, and it's all
kind of chaotic and haphazardly lumped together. | | When was the interview conducted? | April 9, 2001 |
